The COTRAF-RWANDA is an interprofessional grouping Central Trade Unions in the agriculture, livestock and building, in the industry, banks, hotel` s, miscellaneous services, private and public’s education and others. It was founded on March 15, 2003 from the old structure STRIGECOMI (Workers Union of Industries, Garages, Buildings Construction, Mining and Printing) founded in 1989.

Our Objectives
- To recruit 450 members by sensitizing employers in 8 institutions in the first half of year 2023.
- To train 20% on good working environment in first 6 months of year 2024.
- To conduct one Gender audit to identify currents barriers to women’s effective participation in union structure and make union more responsive in second year of 2023
- To review the Cotraf-Rwanda’s constitution to accommodate young workers’ organs within the union structure in January 2024
- To conduct 3 training workshops of 15 Cotraf-Rwanda Leaders on use of online/social media in last six months of 2022 and three first months of 2023
- To conduct 3 professional trainings on social security, social economy in vulnerable workers in informal sectors in 2024
- To set up 3 cohorts of Youth academy in 2022-2025 with 60 members.
- To set up 2 pilot offices of proximity in 2023
- To conduct at least 25 capacity building workshops for Tus Representatives employers and district council representatives on international labor law standards in 2025.
